A Christian View of 2022 - #26

Just what is the Christian view of … well anything?

And, how does one develop a paradigm that parallels the perspective of Jesus?

I wonder what Jesus thinks of this year’s unfolding? Has He cried yet? If so, what brought Him to tears?

Matthew 6:33 turns the key to His Kingdom and opens its power for us to embrace:

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

2022 has not changed His values, His vision, His virtues.

1. Priority of His Kingdom. His kingdom is not on a hiatus - in a state of temporary postponement. If there is anything that should be elevated to “First” - it is the kingdom of God.

2. Promotion of His Kingdom. “Seek” - this is the verb that brings me to partnership in the Kingdom’s engagement in our world. His kingdom is in us - as we yield to the Holy Spirit. Romans 14:17. For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

3. Purpose of His Kingdom. “And His righteousness” There is no righteousness outside His Kingdom. Beyond the Kingdom’s courts everything is wrong and nothing is right. Motive, Ministry and Mission is selfish and love does not motivate and move the heart.

The kingdom of God can still empower and enable the remaining calendar.

The July to December part doesn’t have to drift to a disappointing end.

God can energize us to bring to bear the power and passion of His Kingdom.

“Kingdom first living” can transform the remaining months, transfigure our mediocrity and transcend our limiting definition of “me and mine.”

May the surpassing peace that is synonymous with His Kingdom fill our living and calm and control our hearts no matter what the 2022 calendar brings.
