People’s Full Gospel Church
Statement of Faith
Statement of Faith
We believe:
Section 1
That the Holy Scriptures, as originally given by God, is divinely inspired, infallible and inerrant. They are entirely trustworthy, and constitute the only supreme authority in matters of faith and conduct.
Section 2
That there is but one God, eternally existent in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
Section 3
That the Lord Jesus Christ, the Eternal Son of God, was conceived of the Holy Ghost, and born of a Virgin. We believe in His sinless life, His vicarious death for sinners, His physical resurrection from the dead and His ascension to the Father’s right hand as our great high priest and only mediator between God and man.
Section 4
That man was created, tested according to the Genesis record; that he fell into total spiritual depravity and is unable to attain unto divine righteousness.
Section 5
That the Gospel of Grace is the only means of salvation, how that Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose again for our justification.
Section 6
That justification by faith in the Person and substitutionary death of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and regeneration by the Holy Spirit is essential to salvation.
Section 7
That every believer must be identified with Christ through baptism by immersion as commanded by Christ and practiced by the early Church.
Section 8
That the baptism of the Holy Spirit, subsequent to salvation, with the Scriptural evidence of speaking in tongues, is for all Believers.
Section 9
That the gifts of the Holy Spirit, as enumerated in 1 Corinthians, are to be exercised and practiced as they were in the early church.
Section 10
That the Lord’s Supper is an ordinance given to Believers to observe as a memorial of His death until He comes again.
Section 11
That healing of the body by Divine power, or Divine healing in many aspects as practiced in the New Testament is the privilege of those who believe.
Section 12
That eternal life is received by faith in Christ; that unbelievers will receive eternal punishment.
Section 13
That the believer is called to life a spirit-filled life, a life of separation from the world, and the perfecting of holiness in the fear of God as an expression of Christian faith.
Section 14
That the reality and personality of Satan and demons is scriptural.
Section 15
That the reality and ministry of holy angels is scriptural.
Section 16
That the pre-millennial return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and the resurrection of the saints is followed by the reign of Christ for one thousand years.
Section 17
That the Church is a living organism, composed of all believers in Christ, fulfilling the great commission and functioning in unity and love.
