A Christian View of 2022 - #20

What does Jesus know about 2022? How can a first century carpenter - alleged King of the Jews have any comprehension of twenty first century news?

It’s a matter of faith. You see I believe that He is the Great I Am! The Ancient of Days who is eternally living in the present tense.

He simultaneously lives in every day since the Genesis of days began. Ah, that’s God. At the same time He occupies and orders all of time throughout all of time.

Both B.C. and A.D. are but a “God- glance” to the I Am.

2022 is already history while He is still here walking with us through the daily details, the weekly worries and the monthly bills.

Yesterday is over His shoulders, today is in his hands and tomorrow is on His heart - all are In His omniscient NOW!

Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow are in His preview and review right now!

So what does Jesus know about 2022?

Everything! Everything that is knowable, seen and unseen - He has complete understanding about the what’s and the whys, complete wisdom amount the hows and the whens!

What does this mean to me? To you?

1. We can trust when we can’t understand

2. We can wait when we can’t see the way

3. We can worship when we could worry

4. We can hope in the darkness

5. We can love through our hurts

6. We can cast our cares on Him

7. We can pray “Thy Will Be Done”

8. We can leave our burdens with Him

9. We can rise above fear

10. We can give our families & futures to Him

He sees me and He can view you …

The psalmist of Israel set the “I Am” in a framework of formation and foreknowledge

Psalm 139:13-18 NLT

You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it. You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! I can’t even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand! And when I wake up, you are still with me!

Bill and Gloria sing it best …

Because He lives I can face tomorrow

Because He lives all fear is gone

Because I know He holds the future

Life is worth the living

Just because He lives.”
